Dr. Everett’s new microscope glasses with lighting have arrived. His “Clark Kent/Superman glasses” are now retired and sitting as back up. I cannot imagine doing dentistry without the enhanced magnification.

December 1017

The feeling of accomplishment:
In 1996, I received my Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) having completed over 500 hours of continuing education and passing a Fellowship Exam.
In 2001, I received my Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD) having completed over 700 more hours of continuing education and 400 hours of participation contineing education classes.
In 2018, I will recieve my Lifetime Learning and Service Recognition award (LLSR). Having completed another 627 hours of continuing education and 150 hours of participation education classes while volunteering several hundred hours to Dentistry and the community. I never added it all up, but it comes in around 365 days in the classroom since i graduated dental school. It has taken a lot of time but i could not imagine practicing and pursuing the art of dentistry any other way.
Hey we had our annual Christmas dinner at Lorenzo’s Pizza Kitchen “A Taste of Rome” excellent!

November 2017

I traveled to Northern New Jersey to take a hands on class in bone grafting. A unique experience was had, in that i operated on pig jaws. Extracting teeth, laying flaps, placing bone grafts, and practicing various suturing (sewing) techniques. Angie had a class on Oral diagnosis of cancer. Invisalign classes continued with my Orthodontist instructor.

October 2017

The representative from Designs for Vision came to the office to review our magnification eye-wear. The Zimmer representative came to review their implants product line. The Invisalign representative came to visit to update on their latest options. Still taking my individual classes on providing Invisalign.

September 2017

he Pennsylvania Academy of General Dentistry (PAGD) held their Peak meeting at State College, Pa. I had exciting classes involving pediatric dental care, and how to design predictable partials for adults.  I, also had a chance to do a power point presentation on the dental procedures and practice tidbits, i had learned in the spring at the PAGD spring meeting. The opportunity came about for me to participate in a one on one orthondontic class. Welcome to  Technology. For the rest of 2017, i will have a class with an orthodontist based in Costa Rica (Invisalign headquarters). We will be reviewing all the steps of Invisalign care from start to finish.

August 2017

In office demonstrations of the Carestream digital sensors for visualizing the teeth along with their intra-oral scanner for digital impressions. Also, had Itero come to the office to demonstrate their version which is used exclusively by Invisalign (clear aligners to straighten teeth).

July 2017

Attended the Academy of General Dentistry annual meeting in Las Vegas. Very pleased to be able to take a time out and visit both my kids in San Francisco for dinner. Enjoyed visiting the vendors at the conference focusing on the newer magnification glasses and the digital impressions options.

June 2017

Researching the many options of digital impressions to supplement the way we gather and use information for general care, crowns, implants and orthodontics.

May 2017

The office is doing their annual spring cleaning of supplies material and equipment. Equipment purchases are for hygiene, endodontics and Implants. Along with small diameter implants the office is also expanding to the Zimmer family of implant placement. While still addressing and maintaining all the other many systems available and that have been utilized for patients.

April 2017

Dr. Everett attended the annual Pennsylvania Academy of General Dentistry Meeting in Pittsburgh Pa. The program started on Thursday with presentations, where Dr. Everett presented on diagnosis and treatment options for “root resorption”. Lectures continued Friday thru Sunday on dental implants and Invisalign Orthodontics. Dr. Everett finished the requirements necessary to be an approved Invisalign provider.
