March 2017

Angie, Janice, Felicia and myself all renewed our appropriate licenses to practice for another 2 years. Fully meeting all the requirements needed for Pennsylvania licenses. The office also renewed our Nitrous oxide permit and the required radiology licenses.

February 2017

We have been inked. As required by the state the office has undergone the fingerprinting process and are registered with the state as health care providers.  We have also had the pleasure of celebrating the 76th anniversary of Children’s Dental Health.  Once again we supplied the Palmerton and Lehighton elementary schools with dental books for the library. We also, delivered pencils, brushes, toothpaste, floss, toys and coloring books to the children.

January 2017

We started the year by taking radiology review courses and complying with the state mandated child abuse requirements. The winter has not disrupted our schedule and we are grateful. We are making exciting plans for the new year and look forward to the days ahead.

May 2016

I had the opportunity to play arts and crafts with some of the newer esthetic composites. This fully esthetic class was a day of hands on fun as I worked, manipulated, and styled tooth colored fillings on models.

April 2016

The office became recertified in CPR,  Defibrillator use, and Basic First Aid.  Angie also was able to take advantage of an education program offered by Northhampton community college.  She gathered many “Pearls of Wisdom” to bring home to the practice.

March 2016

The office held a lunch and learn in the techniques and uses of 3-D image capture and model taking. We also renewed our philanthropic program of providing services to our military reservists. This starts our 2nd year of the program where we have been able to help over a hundred reservists and provided thousands in discounted care.

February 2016

This month marks the 75th anniversary of Children’s Dental Health Month. As we have for the past 25 years, we have tried to help foster education for the children in several ways. This year, we stepped away from our 20 years of purchasing educational books for the area school’s libraries (palmerton, lehighton, northern lehigh), and sent educational booklets, coloring sheets, and activity sheets in attempt to directly reach more kids. Once again, we supplied toothbrushes to the Franklin’s kindergarten, and St. Matthew’s Preschool. Dental education will always be the significant key to improving, maintaining dental health which is important for overall health and well-being.

January 2016

We took the time to reflect on 2015, and set goals for 2016. We are excited to continue to challenge ourselves, and enhance our facility. Dentistry has evolved in so many positive aspects, (implants, hygiene, materials, equipment, esthetics) that it is has been a lot of fun to see and experience.  2016 will see us continue to try to do and be our best.

December 2015

Installation was complete for the new state of the art, brighter, and more focused lighting system for Felicia’s hygiene room.  Also, everybody, staff and patients enjoy the end of the year poinsettia give away. Warmest wishes to all.

November 2015

Traveled to visit my son (Mason @ Purdue U. in Indiana).  Stopped along the way to take a hands-on class in placing “tooth colored” fillings (composites).  It was a blast to work on models with many dental friends from around the state.
